This is a sandstone statue of Buddha. It originated from in Trapeng Russey Village, Sambuor Commune, Samrong Tong District, Kampung Speu Province. It belongs to the Phnom Da style of the 6th century, pre-Angkorian era. The sculpture is covered with a robe from shoulders to ankles, a characteristic pretending to the pre- Angkorian and post-Angkorian eras for this kind of image. However, Buddha statues of the pre-Angkorian era appeared more realistic than those created in the post-Angkorian period.
