“This object is a sandstone inscription. It was found by French archaeologist Etienne Meunier in 1886, in the central tower of Ta Prohm temple, in Siem Reap province. It was later brought for display and registration into the collection of the National Museum. The inscription on three of the four faces contains 72 lines each.

While the fourth face contains 74 lines, which make the total line in the inscription up to 290 lines with 145 strokes. This is a famous inscription in poem dated the year 1186 CE under the reign of King Jayvaraman VII. Researchers consider this inscription quite exceptional due to its meaning, which relates the information on King Jayavarman VII lineage and the legal throne the inheritance.
