“This is a finial made of bronze. It weighs 1.25 kilos. It was brought from an area at Ta Prom Makel temple in Siem Reap for displayed and later registered into the collection of the National Museum. So far, experts have not been able to determine the date and period in which this item was manufactured. This work appears to be a handle and is hollow inside.

It is covered with patterns resembling joints that were found on bamboo stems. Four lotus petals shape are engraved as decoration. The top is crafted into an oval shape in three levels. The center is molded into what look like a floral cluster. To date, researchers have not been able to determine the age and function of this item. Based on its decorative patterns, it can only be assumed it was intended for use in religious ceremonies of the time.”
