Box decorated with a Kinnari
These are boxes. There are many wooden boxes in the collection of the National Museum. They are in different shapes round, square, rectangular and some even have legs. Examples include, number one, the box of a shape a canary creature made in wood and covered with lacquer and red paint.
Standing 17 centimeters high. It originated from in Koh Kong province and is believed to have been made in the 19th or 20th century. This box has a duck body and the human head. This creature can be compared with Ledika or Monorria, who was a Devata with wings. We can see creatures like this in the paintings on the walls of this Museum.

Number two the rectangular box made of materials extracted from the areca palm tree. It is coated with lacquer and inlays with shell as decoration. Its origin is unknown, but it is believed that it was made in the 19th or 20th century.The function of this box is to keep utensils for chewing leave areca palm nuts and a tobacco.
