“This lime pot is made of bronze. It weighs 500 grams. The pot was brought from the Preykabbas district, Takeo province, for displayed and later registered into the collection of the National Museum.

To date, expert have not been able to determine the date or period this work. The jar has three parts: the first is the belly, the second the base, and the third is the cover. The belly does not appear to have any decoration and is in the shaped of a coconut shell. The cover resembles a stupa or cone, which is divided into seven levels and topped by a lotus-bud form at its apex.

The base, which is the support, has concentric rings in five levels. Based on the decoration patterns and the arrangements, the creation of this item requires technical capacity and wealth, making it an object for use by past families with considerable social statue.”
